TECHNICAL GUIDE · 43° EDGE HANDOFF

Size first Then bevel

The bevel does not begin with the tool. It begins with a piece cut to the correct size, an identified installed face and one unambiguously marked edge.

Two loose pieces with raw square edges lie separately. The orange edges are linked by a blue line as the identified pair, and taped arrows show the installed direction. The far piece is cropped by the frame; no completed corner and no cutting procedure is shown.

If the drawing says only “corner”, the side, paired piece or finished dimension can become unclear. A short edge description card separates the project information from later processing.

01 Start with the finished piece dimensions

Record the dimensions required by the project, layout and joints. Do not add a machining allowance or tolerance yourself. Any such figure must come from the applicable material and tool documents and the approved fabrication method.

Separate these items on the drawing:

  • finished piece dimensions;
  • edge that requires preparation;
  • adjacent piece forming the corner;
  • project joint or gap;
  • who approved the information and its source.

02 Mark the installed face and direction

Put these marks on every piece:

  • an ID matching the drawing;
  • FACE — the view from the finished, visible side after installation;
  • TOP or another unambiguous installed direction;
  • 43° EDGE with its edge number;
  • KEEP on the retained piece.

FACE defines the viewpoint of the finished piece. It does not replace the processing instructions for the physical working side.

03 Pair the two edges on the drawing

A corner consists of at least two identified pieces. Give them a pair such as A-03 / B-01 and show which edges meet after installation.

Compare these items on the drawing before processing:

  • installed face of both pieces;
  • installation direction;
  • pair number;
  • corner dimensions;
  • project joint or gap;
  • intended appearance after the pieces meet.

Do not assess the fit from one loose piece alone.

04 Where the 43° angle comes from

The current Bevelo page describes 43° edge preparation after the slab has first been cut to size. Do not change or round that figure to 45°. The angle must come from the confirmed system and its instructions.

Instructions for other materials and systems may specify different angles or methods. That does not change the Bevelo specification or allow another procedure to be transferred.

05 Edge description card

Field Record
Piece ID room / wall / piece
Material manufacturer / product / thickness / format
Orientation FACE / TOP / KEEP
Edge number / length / position on drawing
Pair adjacent piece ID and edge
Project finished dimensions / joint or gap / source
Processing 43° only for the confirmed system and instructions
Check pair checked on drawing / information still needed

The card does not tell anyone how to guide the tool. It says which piece, side and edge belong in the applicable processing stage.

06 Choose the tool once the pair is described

If the project, material and instructions point to 43° edge preparation, check the current Bevelo range. Bevelo prepares the edge after the piece has been cut to size; Tile Stand is a separate slab-support product.

If the material identity, paired pieces or source of a dimension is missing, send RAIZI the job details and drawing. A corner photograph alone does not replace the handoff card.
